Río Bueno firefighters present $500 million remodeling project

A remodeling and conservation project has been presented for the Fourth Fire Company of Río Bueno in Chile. The initiative involves an estimated investment of $500 million aimed at modernizing infrastructure, expanding facilities, and resolving long-standing drainage and leveling issues in the engine room that cause flooding during rainy seasons.

The technical design, led by architect Felipe Pérez, addresses the needs of a building that has been in continuous use for 26 years. The structural adjustments are also intended to prepare the station for the arrival of a new specialized HazMat vehicle expected between 2028 and 2029. Firefighter representative Ariel Delgado noted that the project must now move through the Municipality and Secpla to secure resources from the Regional Government.
