Río Gallegos dog adopted after three years in municipal facility

A dog named “Cabezón”, also known as “Aldo”, has been adopted by a family after spending three years at the Municipal Animal Control facility in Río Gallegos. The dog originally entered the facility in July 2023, but despite being part of a protocol to sterilize, vaccinate, and release animals, he repeatedly returned to the municipal premises.

The adoption was made possible through a social media campaign led by independent animal protection activists Vilma Meza and Marcela Rege. The new owners met all municipal requirements, including having a fenced yard, to ensure a successful transition for the medium-sized, social dog.
