Río Grande Chamber launches neurodiversity-friendly shop network

The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Production of Río Grande (CCIP), headed by president José Luis “Gigi” Iglesias, met with Camila Dacunda, creator of the EDAN project, to develop a local network of “Neurodiversity‑Friendly Shops.” The plan calls for participating stores to display a visible sticker or vinyl label indicating their commitment to respectful, empathetic service for neurodivergent customers and their families.

The initiative aims to raise awareness of neurodiversity, reduce stress and misunderstanding during commercial interactions, and gradually expand the network across different business sectors in Río Grande. The Chamber sees the program as a concrete tool for building a more inclusive community and will continue outreach and promotion in the coming weeks.
