Río Grande family launches poultry production project

A family in Río Grande, Tierra del Fuego, has transitioned from factory work to poultry production following the pandemic. What began as a small project with three hens and one rooster has evolved into a structured effort to produce high-quality eggs in the southern region of Argentina.

The initiative received technical support from the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) through the Prohuerta program, which provided laying hens to help producers learn management techniques and evaluate large-scale production possibilities. The project also involves coordination with SENASA and local municipal health and food safety departments to establish a viable production model for the area.
