Río Grande hosts 5th Digital Hackathon for urban innovation

The Municipality of Río Grande hosted its 5th Digital Hackathon at the Technological Space, bringing together 17 teams composed of high school students, higher education institutions, and social organizations. Participants worked on collaborative projects designed to address specific urban challenges through technology and innovation.

Three projects received top honors: ‘Rumbo Seguro’, which aims to improve the accessibility of the CityBus application for people with disabilities; ‘Biblioteca Digital’, focused on access to knowledge; and ‘Huerta con Sensores’, which integrates technological tools into productive practices. All participating teams were awarded tablets and netbooks, while the winning projects received medals and computer equipment.
