Río Grande municipality launches health, maritime and business development programs
The Río Grande municipality organized a second Primary Care Specialty Management workshop on 1 August, featuring Dr. Agustín Perez on psychiatry, Dr. Joaquín Randón on otolaryngology and Dr. Marcelo Oliva on urology, aimed at improving treatment and referral decisions for primary‑care physicians.
Through its Secretariat of Productive Development and the Municipal School of Entrepreneurs, the city also ran a navigation training course to promote safe, responsible maritime skills, with practical and theoretical sessions scheduled over the coming weeks.
A separate community‑building initiative, the “Conociendo el Motor Productivo Local” cycle, concluded with visits to local firms such as Vitalcan, showcasing production processes, innovation and circular‑economy practices to residents. The program highlighted the diversity of Río Grande’s industrial and entrepreneurial sector.
The municipality’s Gender and Community Development Secretariat continued its “Rondas para Construir Futuro Juntas” series, inviting women and gender‑diverse participants to workshops on personal value, household budgeting and generating first income, offering tools for personal and community projects.
