Río Grande launches high‑tech urban monitoring center
Mayor Martín Pérez unveiled a new Urban Monitoring Center for Río Grande, funded with nearly 80 million Argentine pesos. The system will monitor more than 70 strategic points in the city around the clock, using stations, processing servers, image‑storage systems, a videowall and management software supplied by AUSTER Ingeniería SRL. Integrated with the municipal 147 citizen‑service line, a WhatsApp chatbot and the digital portal, the center will coordinate Defense Civil, emergency teams and local security forces to improve response times, public safety, road security and the upkeep of public spaces. The mayor emphasized that the technology is part of a broader municipal digital transformation aimed at delivering a more efficient, modern state for the community.
