Río Grande launches streaming program to support local entrepreneurs

The Municipality of Río Grande and the Universidad Tecnológica Nacional – Facultad Regional Tierra del Fuego (UTN-TDF) have launched ‘Emprender desde el Sur’, a new radio and streaming program. The initiative is part of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions aimed at strengthening local productive development, training, and support for the city's entrepreneurial network.

Broadcasting every Thursday at 11:00 AM on Radio Universidad 93.5, the program seeks to highlight local entrepreneurs, share their stories, and showcase regional productions. The inaugural episode focused on the textile sector, featuring representatives from CJE, Ygriega, and VLG Carteras, who discussed their business growth and challenges.

The program is integrated into a broader municipal strategy that includes the Municipal School of Entrepreneurs. This strategy provides technical assistance, training, and commercialization spaces to support projects from their initial stages through to their consolidation as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
