Río Negro launches energy efficiency training for industrial parks
The Secretaría de Energía y Ambiente of Río Negro has launched a training cycle aimed at improving the management of the province's industrial parks. The program, organized by the Industrial Areas and Free Zone department, consists of four sessions scheduled between August and November.
The initiative seeks to provide municipal technical teams and industrial park managers with tools for more efficient and sustainable resource management. The first session focused on energy efficiency and was led by María del Carmen Rubio, director of Project Evaluation and Regulation. The session included 22 participants, primarily from municipal technical teams and private developments.
Topics covered during the training included responsible energy use, electrical matrices, carbon footprints, and the energy transition. Rubio noted that energy efficiency allows companies to achieve the same results while consuming less energy, which can lead to lower costs and reduced environmental impact through measures such as equipment maintenance, optimized usage, and efficient lighting.
