Río Negro Legislature and Argentina LNG project updates

The Río Negro Legislature is set to debate several new legislative initiatives covering health, animal protection, and human rights. Key proposals include protocols for students with diabetes, regulations for artisanal foods, and sustainable mobility. Additionally, a project has been introduced to officially recognize the identification of the body of Mara Salto, a woman who disappeared during the last military dictatorship.

Separately, the Río Negro government has announced a public hearing for November 16 in Sierra Grande regarding the environmental impact assessment of the Argentina LNG project, led by YPF. The hearing will address four components: a dedicated pipeline, Floating Liquefaction Units (FLNG), a multipipeline, and an industrial complex. Interested parties must register by November 11 to present observations on the environmental studies.
