Río Negro province allocates funds for bridge in Bariloche and drainage works in General Pico

The municipal government of San Carlos de Bariloche received a provincial contribution of 400 million Argentine pesos to continue construction of a concrete bridge over the Ñireco stream on Wiederhold Avenue. The funding, announced by Governor Alberto Weretilneck, is intended to improve vehicular and pedestrian connectivity and enhance safety for residents.

In General Pico, the city council approved authorization for the Provincial Water Administration to begin a major storm‑drain re‑configuration in the western zone, with an estimated cost of about 5 billion pesos. The project aims to expedite water evacuation during intense rain events linked to climate change. The council also endorsed a public‑lighting plan for prioritized neighborhoods and updated utility tariffs as part of the broader public‑works agenda.
