Various regional youth sports competitions are underway across Argentina and Uruguay. In San Francisco, Argentina, the 20th edition of the El Tala International Volleyball Open has commenced, featuring 60 teams in the Sub-14 and Sub-18 categories, including international participation from Brazil.

In Villa Ocampo, Argentina, the Copa Challenger 2026 is set to host 80 volleyball teams across Sub-13 and Sub-16 categories, with an expected attendance of 1,300 people including players and families. Meanwhile, the Misiones Sub-14 handball selection has traveled to San Juan to compete in the Argentine Minor Selections Tournament.

In Uruguay, the Río Negro Sub-15 bochas selection is competing in the National Championship in Rocha. In football, the Paysandú Sub-2015 team secured a 4-0 victory against Fray Bentos in the ONFI National Selection Tournament, while Salto also recorded a win in the same competition.
