Río Uruguay Seguros emphasizes sustainable management and cooperative values
Río Uruguay Seguros (RUS) has integrated sustainability into its management model, building on its cooperative identity established since 1958. The insurer adheres to the seven Principles of International Cooperativism and the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact, which it has signed since 2004.
In 2015, the company joined the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) developed by UN Women and the UN Global Compact. RUS participates in various national and international sustainability networks, including the Argentine Global Compact Network, ICMIF, UNEP-FI, COOPERAR, IARSE, and the MicroInsurance Network.
The company's annual sustainability strategy is managed by its Board of Directors to ensure it spans all organizational dimensions, including risk management, technological innovation, inclusion, insurance education, and solvency.
