Multiple serious road accidents injure dozens across Romania

A series of severe road accidents have occurred across Romania, leaving several people injured, including children. Near the seaside resort of Mamaia, a collision involved two cars and resulted in five victims, among them two children, who were taken to hospital for treatment. In Sibiu County, a car struck a TIR on DN 7 near Boiţa, causing a 69‑year‑old driver to suffer head and chest injuries and be hospitalized. In Hilișeu Horia, Botoșani County, a vehicle left the roadway, injuring a 31‑year‑old woman and her 10‑year‑old child, both of whom were transported to a medical facility. In Galați, a 62‑year‑old woman was severely hurt after being hit by a Lamborghini Urus; the 41‑year‑old driver tested positive for alcohol and possible drug use, prompting a criminal investigation. Near Petroșani, a car veered off the road into a river, injuring a mother and her teenage daughter, who were taken to emergency care. Emergency services, including fire brigades, SMURD teams and ambulances, responded to each incident and provided first‑aid and transport to hospitals.
