Road accidents in Romania injure drivers in Maramureș and Timiș counties

On 4 July, a 59‑year‑old driver lost control while overtaking on the road between Șomcuta Mare and Satulung in Maramureș County. The vehicle overturned, and the driver was taken to hospital with injuries; a breath‑alcohol test was negative and police continue the investigation.

On a separate incident on DN 6 near Găvojdia in Timiș County, a 20‑year‑old driver collided with a truck. He was conscious, received first‑aid treatment and was transported to hospital. Both drivers tested negative for alcohol, and a criminal investigation for culpable bodily injury has been opened.
