Road accidents in Trojanów, Poland kill cyclist and gravely wound motorcyclist

On 6 August, a senior male cyclist died after his bicycle struck an object near roadworks on a road in Budziska, gmina Trojanów. He lost balance, hit his head on the asphalt and, despite the response of multiple fire‑fighter units, an ambulance team and a rescue helicopter, he could not be saved. Police are investigating the incident under the supervision of a prosecutor.

On 31 July, a 31‑year‑old motorcyclist identified as Bartek was involved in a collision with a car on provincial road 196 near Murowana Goślina, within the Trojanów area. He was air‑lifted to hospital in critical condition, remains in a drug‑induced coma on a ventilator, and suffers extensive brain, skull, lung, rib, arm and leg injuries requiring multiple surgeries. His family has launched a fundraising appeal for his long‑term treatment and rehabilitation.
