Road accidents reported in Porto Pozzo and Mazara del Vallo

Two separate road accidents occurred in Italy. In Porto Pozzo, a car veered off the SS 133 bis coastal road near the outskirts of the hamlet. The vehicle came to a stop in the roadside vegetation, preventing it from overturning. However, when emergency responders and law enforcement arrived, the vehicle was found empty, with no trace of the driver or any passengers. Authorities are investigating whether the occupant left to seek help or went directly to a medical facility.

In a separate incident on the provincial road connecting Mazara del Vallo to Torretta Granitola, a scooter carrying two people crashed into a guardrail. The occupants, a 48-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries. The man was hospitalized in Mazara del Vallo with multiple fractures, while the woman was transferred to a hospital in Palermo in critical condition. Carabinieri are investigating the cause of the crash.
