Road closures and infrastructure works scheduled in Slovenia and Croatia

Various road closures and traffic restrictions are scheduled across Slovenia and Croatia due to infrastructure projects and public events.

In the Domžale municipality, Slovenia, several closures are planned for 2026. These include full and partial closures on the Šentjakob – Domžale state road for utility connections, and the Radomlje – Rova road for water and sewage construction. A bridge on the Želodnik–Domžale state road will face full weekend closures between July and September 2026 for reconstruction. Additionally, temporary closures will occur for the “Rolkanje Ihan 2026” event, the “European Mobility Week,” and the UEC European Road Cycling Championships.

In Croatia, the county road ŽC2217 in Stubička Slatina will be closed from September 2 to September 16, 2026. The closure is necessary for the construction of a new road culvert, sidewalks, and drainage systems as part of a project commissioned by the City of Oroslavje. Traffic will be diverted through the Jakovlje – Stubička Slatina – Mokrice – Oroslavje route.
