Road closures announced in Mozambique and Portugal
The National Roads Administration (ANE) in Mozambique has announced temporary traffic interruptions on National Road 13 (N13) in Nampula province. Between November 5 and 6, traffic will be fully suspended from 6:00 to 17:00 to facilitate repairs on the bridge over the Natete River in the Ribáuè district. The project, budgeted at over 10 million dollars, involves replacing damaged panels and installing new safety elements to improve the connection between Nampula and Niassa. Drivers are advised to use an alternative route via Namigonha and Iapala.
In Portugal, Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) is conducting pavement works on the IC8 highway in the Sertã region. From November 2 to 3, the entrance to the IC8 at the Sertã Centro junction will be closed to traffic between 8:00 and 18:00. Starting November 4, traffic will be subject to alternating flow regulated by signals between the Sertã Oeste junction and Várzea dos Cavaleiros. These works are part of a broader infrastructure intervention to improve road safety and conditions in the Castelo Branco district.
