Road closures in Brazil's capital for Corrida das Estações winter race

On Sunday, 12 July 2026, the capital of Brazil will see major traffic alterations as the Corrida das Estações – Etapa Inverno 10‑km race begins at 07:00. The event starts and finishes at the Vila Morena Cultural Center (Cidade da Páscoa).

The municipal traffic agency (Agetran) will block the left lane of Avenida Afonso Pena toward Parque dos Poderes and the access roundabout to the park. The State Department of Transit (Detran‑MS) will manage contraflow inside the park, affecting Avenida do Poeta, the roundabout to Avenida Desembargador José Nunes da Cunha, and internal park roads. Drivers are advised to use alternative routes, slow down, obey temporary signage and follow instructions from traffic officers.

The coordinated closures aim to ensure the safety of athletes while maintaining a controlled flow for vehicles throughout the morning.
