Road closures in Roudné and Plané disrupt traffic in South Bohemia
In the municipality of Roudné, the main Roudenská street has been closed to regular traffic until 30 September while reconstruction of the road, sidewalks, storm‑water drainage and water supply is carried out. A detour runs via Vidovská and Plavská streets. The project is partly funded by a private investor, allowing the town to save part of its budget, according to Mayor Gustav Had.
Nearby, works on the new access road to the České Budějovice Airport in Plané began on 30 July and will continue until mid‑September. Traffic is limited to one lane and is managed by construction workers during peak hours and by traffic lights at other times. Drivers coming from Český Krumlov must turn left about 50 m earlier than before, while traffic from České Budějovice remains unchanged. The project, executed by Colas CZ, costs 160 million CZK and is scheduled for completion in November 2026. Regional spokesperson Hana Dědičová emphasized that the aim is to keep disruptions to a minimum.
