Poland infrastructure projects cause widespread transport disruptions

Various regions across Poland are experiencing significant transportation disruptions due to extensive road and rail infrastructure projects.

In Kraków, tram services have resumed on major streets like Grzegórzecka and Dunajewskiego following successful renovations, though new works are beginning on ul. św. Gertrudy and Stradomskiej. In Warsaw, tram routes will be modified during the weekend of October 10-11 due to switch replacements, and nighttime roadwork is scheduled for the Opacz junction between the S2 and S8 expressways.

Major roadworks are also impacting several highways and regional routes. The A1 motorway near Kutno will face lane closures for expansion work, while the DK74 between Sulejów and Żarnów will undergo surface upgrades involving shuttle traffic. On the S10 expressway, the Stargard Wschód junction will see partial closures to facilitate the construction of a new roundabout and bypass. Additionally, heavy congestion is reported on the expressway between Lublin and Piaski due to ongoing repairs.

Local public transport is also being adjusted in Łódź, with bus line 87A/B changing routes due to construction on ul. Północna, and tram lines 7, 15, and 45 facing diversions following a fire near ul. Legionów. In Police, modernization of ul. Siedleckiej has introduced new traffic patterns and temporary bus stops.
