Road expansion projects progress in Bavaria
Infrastructure projects are progressing in Bavaria, involving the expansion of two state roads.
On the St 2125 east of Sulzbach, approximately 1,500 meters of the new road have been completed. Current work is focused on the final 500 meters, which includes infrastructure tasks such as relocating a water pipe and adjusting the Danube cycle path. During this phase, the area will remain a gravel surface for local traffic and cyclists. The State Construction Office Regensburg aims to reopen the road to traffic by early December.
Separately, construction is set to begin on October 5 for the expansion of the St 2325 between Hörmannsdorf and Eichendorf. This first of four planned phases covers 1.6 kilometers and will widen the road to six meters. The project, costing approximately 1.6 million euros, involves replacing the asphalt and upper layers of the roadbed. Work on this initial section is expected to pause during winter, with completion targeted for late May once weather permits.
