Road maintenance and closures scheduled in Miaoli and New Taipei
Several road maintenance projects are scheduled in Taiwan, leading to temporary closures and diversions in Miaoli and New Taipei City.
In Miaoli County, the northbound section of Provincial Highway 61 from Tongxiao to Xinpu (km 115 to 121) will be closed for surface quality improvements. The construction is set to begin at 8:00 AM on October 27 and is expected to last approximately one month, concluding on November 27 at 5:00 PM. Drivers heading northbound are advised to exit via the Tongxiao (1) ramp, use the Tongxiao Link Road to connect to Provincial Highway 1, and re-enter Provincial Highway 61 via the Xinpu ramp.
In New Taipei City, nighttime milling and paving work will take place on Dake Road in the Taishan District. The project is scheduled in two phases: from October 26 to October 30, and from November 2 to November 6. Construction will occur between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM. While bus and shuttle services will remain unaffected, motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes through Zhongxiao Road, Liyuan 1st Street, or Renai Road to avoid delays.
