Road paving projects launched in Tantoyuca, Veracruz and Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo

In Tantoyuca, Veracruz, mayor Roberto San Román Solana announced the start of the first stage of a road‑paving project that will link the community of Palmito with four nearby rural settlements – Callejón Santa Clara, Pensador Mexicano, Soyotitla and Ejido Cuauhtémoc. The initial phase involves constructing a 1.5 km, six‑meter‑wide paved road and is part of a four‑stage plan that aims to replace unpaved tracks with permanent highways. The municipality has earmarked more than 200 million pesos for the overall road‑network programme, with seven additional roads slated for inauguration in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, in Atotonilco de Tula, Hidalgo, mayor Yocelyn Tovar Mendoza inaugurated the paving of Ignacio Zaragoza and Román Rodríguez streets in the Conejos Primera Sección community. The work, funded with 1,189,244 pesos from municipal revenues, covered 1,789 m² of asphalt five centimetres thick and included 897 m of road markings after a base‑preparation phase that involved hydraulic base construction and gravel placement. The mayor highlighted the project as a priority response to local demands and part of a broader effort to allocate public resources to lasting infrastructure.
