Road reconstruction between Dolný Štál and Okoč to cause full closure

A major reconstruction of a 1.4-kilometer section of road III/1428 between Dolný Štál and Okoč in the Dunajská Streda district is scheduled to begin on September 2, 2026. The project, funded by the Trnava Self-Governing Region with an investment exceeding 406,000 euros, will result in a complete closure of the road for both passenger and freight vehicles.

Traffic will be diverted through Topoľníky via roads II/211 and II/561. Buses and emergency services will be exempt from the closure and may pass through the section without restrictions. The construction, to be carried out by Doprastav, is expected to be completed by October 13, 2026.

The scope of work includes milling old asphalt, repairing the roadbed, and laying new pavement layers. Additionally, workers will repair culverts, clean ditches, adjust road shoulders, and install new directional posts equipped with reflectors to improve safety and deter wildlife.
