Querétaro Maintains Traffic Lanes on Bernardo Quintana During Train Project

The municipal government of Querétaro will keep two north‑bound and three south‑bound lanes open on boulevard Bernardo Quintana through July 31, with no changes to the traffic operation for the coming week. The decision follows coordination among the three orders of government and the Cuerpo de Ingenieros Felipe Ángeles, aiming to maintain smooth flow while the Mexico‑Querétaro high‑speed rail is under construction.

Mayor Felifer Macías urged drivers to plan trips, use alternate routes and reduce speed in the work zone. Over 170 mobility auxiliaries remain deployed and flashing signal lights are in use to accelerate traffic. AMEQ director Gerardo Cuanalo noted that public‑transport travel times have risen by 10–12 minutes, while delays for private vehicles are modest. Motorists were also advised to consult navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps for real‑time updates.
