Road safety alerts issued for Mexico's Siglo XXI highway and Las Torres Avenue

Drivers on the Siglo XXI highway between Metepec and Leonali reported being struck by stones thrown from the roadside, damaging windshields and vehicle bodies. Authorities have not yet identified the perpetrators, but motorists were advised to keep moving, avoid stopping in isolated areas, and immediately report incidents to emergency services.

Separately, a stretch of Avenida Las Torres near Heriberto Enríquez and Paseo Colón, heading toward Zinacantepec, became extremely slippery after crushed mangoes littered the pavement, leading to a vehicle skid and an accident. Local officials urged drivers, especially motorcyclists, to reduce speed, avoid sudden maneuvers, and consider alternate routes while the road is cleared.
