Veracruz authorities verify medical supplies in 18 hospitals
Authorities in Veracruz, led by Governor Rocío Nahle García and IMSS Bienestar Director Alejandro Svarch Pérez, conducted inspections of 18 general and community hospitals to verify the availability of medicines and medical supplies.
The inspections covered various locations, including Perote, Orizaba, and Pánuco, to assess real stock levels in pharmacies and warehouses. Officials reported that some facilities required the immediate redistribution of materials to achieve full coverage. The visit also aimed to identify priority areas for infrastructure, equipment, and medical services.
As part of the agreements, the government plans to replace the infrastructure in Alvarado with a new unit and expand the Huayacocotla Hospital into a regional unit. Additionally, the administration reaffirmed a commitment to construct new hospitals in Pánuco, Tuxpan, Tlacoyan, Tempoal, and Misantla.
