Road safety experts advocate for integral education and strategic alliances

Experts and industry leaders are advocating for a shift toward integral road safety education and multi-sector cooperation to reduce traffic accidents. In Argentina, specialists suggest moving beyond simple rule memorization toward a paradigm of 'Integral Road Education.' This approach focuses on three pillars: the human factor, the vehicle,s condition, and the environment, aiming to develop a real-time perception of risk across all life stages.

In Mexico, the National Private Transport Association (ANTP) marked the 10th anniversary of its National Road Safety Congress. Alex Theissen, president of the ANTP, emphasized that technology alone cannot save lives and must be paired with professionalized human capital and a culture of prevention. The congress serves as a dialogue between transporters, authorities, and academia. Representing the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transport (SICT), Monserrat González highlighted the necessity of strategic alliances between the government, the transport sector, and society to mitigate highway risks.
