Road safety initiatives launched in Islamabad and //Kharas

In Islamabad, the National Highways & Motorway Police (NHMP) coordinated a White Cane Safety Awareness Session in collaboration with the National Mobility & Independence Training Centre. The event, held in connection with White Cane Safety Day, focused on promoting inclusive road safety practices and increasing motorist awareness regarding the rights and mobility needs of visually impaired individuals.

In Keetmanshoop, the //Kharas Regional Road Safety Forum was launched to improve road safety through stakeholder coordination. Regional Governor Dawid Gertze and Commissioner Marius Katamila emphasized the forum's role in identifying high-risk areas, strengthening education, and fostering a culture of collective responsibility among motorists, transport operators, and the public to reduce traffic crashes.
