Road Safety Institute launches 20th annual European Night Without Accidents
The Road Safety Institute ‘Panos Mylonas’ is organizing its 20th annual ‘European Night Without Accidents’ awareness campaign. The initiative focuses on the message that alcohol and driving are incompatible, promoting responsible behavior through the ‘Designated Driver of the Group’ concept. Participants select one person to remain sober, who wears a specific bracelet to signify their commitment.
In Argos, volunteers held activities at Agios Petros Square, supported by the Mayor of Argos-Mykines, Giannis Maltezos, and the Red Cross of Argos. To reinforce the message, designated drivers can participate in friendly breathalyzer tests.
The campaign involves the Scouts of Greece and spans numerous Greek cities and islands, including Thessaloniki, Patras, Heraklion, and Corfu. The Institute provides educational materials, such as posters, brochures, and bracelets, to participating groups to encourage road safety and accident prevention.
