Roadside births reported in France and the United States

Two separate incidents of roadside births have been reported in France and the United States.

In Toulon, France, a woman traveling to a maternity ward was forced to give birth in her vehicle on the A50 motorway emergency lane near the Toulon tunnel exit. Emergency responders, including firefighters, Smur, and Vinci Autoroutes teams, attended to the scene. Both the mother and the newborn were transported to Sainte-Musse Hospital.

In San Francisco, USA, a woman gave birth to a healthy baby girl after heavy traffic near Golden Gate Park forced her family to pull over. San Francisco Fire Department paramedics and AMR units arrived to assist with the delivery. Following the birth, both the mother and daughter were transported to a local hospital.
