Roadwork Closures Disrupt Traffic in Campo Grande and Guará Park, Brazil

On Monday, 20 May, the Municipal Transport and Traffic Agency (Agetran) implemented a special traffic scheme in Campo Grande, Brazil. Engineers removed two roundabouts and installed new signalised intersections on Avenida Rodolfo José Pinho (at Dos Vendas and Chaadi Scaff) and on Avenida Rachid Neder (at Rua Arthur Jorge). Both locations were closed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and drivers were directed to use alternative routes: São Vicente and Uberlândia for centre‑to‑neighbourhood traffic, Patagônia for the opposite direction, and 13 de Junho, José Alberto Pereira, 25 de Dezembro, and Pio Rojas for the second intersection.

In Guará Park, Federal District, works also began on Monday, 20 May, on Avenida Bernardo Sayão. A reinforced‑concrete passage box is being installed to collect two utility networks from the Chácara 60 condominiums, aiming to eliminate recurring flooding. The access road to the condominiums is temporarily closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with proper signage and continuous technical supervision to ensure safety.
