Roadwork projects cause traffic delays across New South Wales

Motorists in New South Wales are facing potential delays due to various road maintenance activities and infrastructure projects. Transport for NSW has issued warnings regarding changed traffic conditions across several key corridors.

In the region between the Port of Newcastle and the Central West, maintenance is underway on the Pacific, New England, Golden, and Castlereagh highways. These delays are compounded by regular oversize and overmass (OSOM) vehicle deliveries servicing the Uungula Wind Farm. Specific works include intersection improvements at Hexham and mobile heavy patching between Jerry’s Plains and Denman.

Additionally, roadworks on Waterfall Way between Armidale and Raleigh are expected to continue until November 8. Projects include culvert extensions near Hernani, slope repairs on Dorrigo Mountain, and flood resilience upgrades at Fernmount. Some sections of Waterfall Way may require permits for vehicles wider than 3 metres.
