Germany infrastructure and transport updates
Various regions in Germany are experiencing significant transport disruptions due to construction and accidents. In Leipzig, a major bridge renovation on Torgauer Straße is planned for 2027, and the S1 line will replace the RB110 service with modern Siemens trains starting in December.
On the Autobahn network, the A36 and A38 in Saxony-Anhalt remain closed following truck accidents near Quedlinburg and between Sangerhausen and Roßlaam. Additionally, the A3 near Oberhausen will face nighttime lane closures for maintenance, and a collision involving two semi-trucks near Feucht caused temporary closures.
Local roadworks are also impacting several municipalities. Iserlohn is undergoing renovations on Grüner Talstraße, involving full closures for culvert replacements. In Braunschweig, expansion work at the Ölper junction will cause lane restrictions through December. Other local disruptions include street closures in Bruchsal for canal work and a temporary one-way system in Apensen due to roundabout construction.
