Rob Bernardi named associate athletics director for internal operations at LSU New Orleans

LSU New Orleans has appointed veteran collegiate administrator Rob Bernardi as associate athletics director for internal operations. Athletics director Dr. Michael Giorlando said Bernardi’s extensive experience will provide strong support and leadership for coaches and student‑athletes. Bernardi returns to New Orleans after serving as deputy athletics director for external operations at the University of Louisiana Monroe, where he oversaw multiple sports, sports medicine, compliance and revenue‑generating units, and helped negotiate a long‑term multimedia rights deal. He previously held senior associate athletic director duties at Tulane and spent 15 years as director of athletics at Nicholls State, where he increased revenue, raised significant funds for facilities and improved graduation and APR rates.
