Rob Kazinsky to return to EastEnders as Sean Slater

Rob Kazinsky is set to return to the BBC soap opera EastEnders as a full-time cast member later this year, reprising his role as Sean Slater. While the character has made brief appearances in recent years, it has been 17 years since Slater was a permanent resident of Albert Square.

Kazinsky, who first joined the series in 2006, expressed excitement about returning to the role as an older performer. He stated that he wants to bring a “new level of heartfelt chaos” to the show and explore who the character has become as a man.

Executive producer Ben Wadey confirmed the casting, noting that the character's presence typically signals upcoming drama. The return follows a long history for the character, whose original departure in 2009 involved a high-stakes storyline involving Roxy Mitchell and Amy Mitchell.
