Rob Reiner wins posthumous Emmy for role in ‘The Bear’

Rob Reiner has been awarded a posthumous Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance in the FX series ‘The Bear’. The award was announced during the Creative Arts Emmys held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Reiner, a renowned director and actor, appeared in season four of ‘The Bear’ as a business consultant. This win marks his third Emmy, following two previous awards for his role as Michael ‘Meathead’ Stivic in ‘All in the Family’. This achievement comes nine months after Reiner and his wife, Michele Singer Reiner, were found dead at their home in Brentwood; his son, Nick Reiner, has been charged in connection with their deaths.

During the ceremony, attendees provided a standing ovation for the late actor. Wendi McLendon-Covey accepted the award on his behalf.
