Rob Stewart expresses support for Serbian student protests

Canadian actor Rob Stewart, widely known in Serbia for his role as Nick Slaughter in the series ‘Tropical Heat’, has once again voiced his support for Serbian students participating in protests.

Responding to a post on a dedicated fan page regarding gatherings at Slavija Square, Stewart commented, ‘I don’t mind at all. PUMPAJ!’. This follows a previous video message sent by the actor in April 2025, in which he addressed the protests against corruption and government accountability. In that address, he encouraged students to continue fighting for freedom and justice, describing them as the ‘intellectual and spiritual soul’ of the country.

Stewart’s connection to Serbia dates back to the 1990s when his character became a symbol of resistance during times of political crisis and sanctions. His relationship with the local audience was the subject of the documentary ‘Slaughter Nick for President’.
