Rob Van Dam reveals he worked for WCW without a signed contract

Professional wrestler Rob Van Dam revealed on his podcast, ‘1 Of A Kind’, that he worked for World Championship Wrestling (WCW) for approximately six months in 1993 without ever signing a formal contract.

Van Dam explained that during his tenure, officials including Mike Graham repeatedly requested the signed paperwork. He admitted to telling them the document was signed but had been left at home, a claim he maintained until his departure in May 1993. He noted that he still possesses the unsigned contract today.

The shift in his career trajectory occurred after a period working with All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he established a relationship with Giant Baba. Following a change in WCW booking leadership, Van Dam experienced a decline in opportunities and television exposure, leading to his decision to leave the promotion.
