Robbery and Vandalism Hit Argentine Schools in Bernal Oeste and Monte Caseros
In Bernal Oeste, the Primary School No. 65 in the IAPI neighbourhood was forced open, looted and suffered extensive vandalism, prompting a community complaint and immediate repairs, including replacement of 15 classroom locks and damaged gates.
Separately, in Monte Caseros, the historic Centenary School No. 88 was broken into in the early morning. The perpetrators shattered doors, windows, frames and security bars, stole equipment such as a speaker and a microphone, and scattered important documents. Director Karina Zambón described the damage and the community gathered to assist while police investigations began.
