Robbie Williams reveals autism diagnosis

British singer Robbie Williams has revealed he has been diagnosed with autism. The 52-year-old artist shared the news during a Q&A session at the launch of his clothing brand, Hopeium, at Flannels in London.

Williams, who has previously been open about living with ADHD and Tourette’s syndrome, expressed that the new diagnosis provides clarity regarding his behavior and mental processes. He noted that while ADHD allows him to concentrate intensely on specific interests, it can make other tasks difficult. He described the diagnosis as a source of relief, jokingly referring to it as a “get-out-of-jail-free card” for his eccentricities.

To manage intrusive thoughts and anxiety, Williams explained that he uses creative outlets, such as making funny images, to redirect his brain's energy. He shared that this creative focus helps prevent his mind from spiraling into panic or fear.
