De Niro argued that the administration must be removed from power, warning that Trump could ‘destroy’ both the United States and other parts of the world. He also characterized Trump’s following as a ‘cult’ and criticized supporters for continuing to follow him.

The interview also touched upon recent AI-generated videos featuring the former president. De Niro’s comments come as he prepares for the August 28 release of ‘The Whisper Man’, a crime thriller in which he plays a retired detective.
