Robert F. Kennedy Jr. disputes CNN report on meal costs

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has criticized CNN host Erin Burnett following a report regarding the cost of meals featured on his YouTube cooking series, ‘The Real Food’.

During an episode of ‘Erin Burnett OutFront’, correspondent Tom Foreman reported that the ingredients required for a salmon cake and salad recipe cost $70.54 at a major grocery chain. Kennedy disputed this figure, asserting that the meal costs approximately $19.64 to feed a family of four.

Kennedy argued that CNN’s calculation incorrectly applied the full package price of every ingredient rather than using ‘standard recipe costing’, which only accounts for the specific portions used in the dish. He stated that the remaining ingredients remain in a household pantry for future use and accused Burnett of abandoning ‘common sense and basic arithmetic’.
