Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expresses support for peptide use

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has expressed support for the use of peptides, which are protein building blocks used to trigger hormones for growth and healing. Kennedy has noted using them personally to treat injuries.

According to testing conducted by The Broad Institute on 1,309 compounds, GHK-cu (copper peptide) was identified as the top compound. The interest in these substances comes amid a shift in wellness trends and tension regarding regulatory oversight. Under the Biden administration, the FDA added nearly 20 peptides to a list of substances that compounding pharmacies are restricted from producing.

Supporters of Kennedy’s ‘Make America Healthy Again’ movement, including longevity expert Gary Brecka, also advocate for peptide use. The rise in peptide popularity has faced opposition from traditional pharmaceutical interests and regulatory bodies.
