Robert Harris releases new historical novel Agrippa

Author Robert Harris has released a new historical novel titled ‘Agrippa’, set in ancient Rome. The book explores the rise of Emperor Augustus through the perspective of his close ally, the general and strategist Marcus Vipsanius Agrippa.

The narrative follows Agrippa from his early friendship with Augustus through the political turmoil following the death of Julius Caesar. It depicts the struggles of the Second Triumvirate, including campaigns against Mark Antony and Cleopatra, focusing on themes of loyalty, betrayal, and the corrupting nature of power.

In the United Kingdom, the novel is published by Hutchinson Heinemann, while in Sweden, it is released by Bookmark Förlag.
