Robert Ilyeș appointed head coach of Olimpia Satu Mare

Robert Ilyeș has been officially appointed as the new head coach of Olimpia Satu Mare in Romania's Liga 2. The 52-year-old, a UEFA Pro License holder, succeeds Alexandru Pelici, who departed the club by mutual agreement after eight matches.

Ilyeș joins the team following a successful tenure at FK Csikszereda, where he led the club to a historic promotion to the SuperLiga and secured a 10th-place finish. His previous experience includes serving on the technical staff at Sepsi OSK.

Olimpia Satu Mare currently faces a challenging period, sitting in 20th place out of 22 teams after eight rounds without a victory. The primary objective for the new coaching staff is to avoid relegation.
