Robert Kiyosaki predicts precious metal surge as US debt nears $40T

Author Robert Kiyosaki has urged investors to prepare for rising U.S. federal debt as the national total approaches $40 trillion. According to U.S. Treasury data, total public debt outstanding was approximately $39.93 trillion as of August 13.

Kiyosaki highlighted ambitious price forecasts for precious metals, citing predictions from Jim Rickards that gold could reach $10,000 an ounce and silver could reach $200 an ounce. While Kiyosaki did not provide a specific timetable or supporting calculations, he identified silver as his preferred choice for August 2026.

These remarks come as investors evaluate inflation, fiscal policy, and the potential for scarce assets to preserve purchasing power against currency erosion.
