Robert Lewandowski close to signing with Chicago Fire

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski will become a free agent when his contract with Barcelona ends on 30 June. Reports from Fabrizio Romano say he and his agent Pini Zahavi are travelling to the United States to finalize talks with MLS club Chicago Fire. The American side is said to have offered a lucrative deal worth €15‑20 million per year on a two‑to‑three‑year contract, aiming to secure the 37‑year‑old forward for what could be his final playing years.

While Juventus and Milan have been mentioned as interested clubs, neither has made a concrete approach. The Chicago Fire are pushing to complete the transfer quickly, hoping the move will reshape the MLS market and add a high‑profile European star to their roster.
